Expansion of Eindhoven Airport

The project

Eindhoven Airport is undergoing a significant expansion, with the terminal being enlarged by approximately 10,000 square metres. Iv has a key role in this project, being responsible for both the technical installations and the structural design of the new terminal. This expansion will increase the total area of the terminal to 36,000 square metres, including additional gates, an expanded Non-Schengen area, a larger baggage hall, and more space for catering and dining facilities.

The challenge

The project focuses on increasing the airport’s capacity and comfort and aims to transform Eindhoven Airport into the most attractive airport in Europe. The challenge for Iv lies in integrating modern installation technologies and structural solutions that align with the ambitious goals of Eindhoven Airport. This includes creating a more spacious, efficient, and welcoming airport terminal.

The impact

The expansion of Eindhoven Airport is essential to creating a future-proof and user-friendly airport. This development will improve the capacity and passenger comfort and strengthen Eindhoven Airport’s position in the European aviation sector. The completion, scheduled for the second half of 2025, marks a significant milestone for the airport and Iv in their ongoing pursuit of innovation and quality.
