As a project controller, you will play a key role in managing and controlling the financial aspects of projects. Your responsibilities include monitoring budgets, preparing financial reports and providing project managers and the management team with valuable insight. You will work closely with various departments to ensure projects remain within the set manageable framework and that business objectives are met. In this way, you and your team can provide project transparency. Predictability and no surprises are key in this.
Tasks and responsibilities include managing and monitoring project budgets, analysing financial data and preparing detailed reports. Based on these analyses, you will advise project teams and management and work with project managers to evaluate and improve projects. You will also identify risks and opportunities within projects and support project managers, department heads, and the executive board in managing projects in various areas such as finance, organisation, quality, information, and time.
Collaborating with various departments is essential to optimise financial processes. You will contribute to developing and implementing financial policy guidelines and be responsible for the regular preparation, analysis and discussion of financial project reports in collaboration with project representatives. You will also involve project administrators in your work and challenges, helping us to improve and become sharper together! Furthermore, you will contribute to the professionalisation and development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 BC and PowerBI.
You must have a higher professional degree (HBO) in an economic or business field or equivalent or be able to demonstrate that you are working at a higher professional level. You should also have at least five years' experience in a similar position, preferably in a project environment. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly are essential. You should also have knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the field.
