Designing within a multidisciplinairy project team
Do you know how to transform the most complex technical challenges in record time into feasible solutions and do you like variety in your work? If the answer is yes, you couldn’t be in a better place than as a Lead Instrumentation Designer at Iv. Sometimes you will work on a large multidisciplinary offshore, wind or onshore energy project, and other times simultaneously on several smaller but challenging projects.
As Lead Instrumentation Designer, you are responsible for generating the drawings and lists with which the E/I installer can build your instrumentation design. Your design will cover complete fire, gas detection and security systems to process control and the necessary telecommunication systems. With the help of other specialists, you will be given the freedom you need to achieve a perfect integral design.
We are looking for a designer with a secondary vocational education (MBO) qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, with at least five years of experience in our branch. Knowledge of software programs such as Smart Plant Instrumentation and AutoCAD is preferable. Previous experience with substation projects is of great advantage. You must be familiar with the published rules of classification societies and design codes and have a good command of the Dutch and English language. Further to this, we consider your communicative and managerial qualities to be equally important. Your ability to take a ‘helicopter view’ allows you to look at the bigger picture and not be thrown off course easily. You are a real team player but can take responsibility in your position as a team leader.
