Lead the biggest infrastructure projects in the Netherlands

Whether it’s bridges, viaducts, underpasses or locks – as a Project Manager Civil Engineering at Iv, you are the one who keeps the overview, connects people, and translates technical expertise into tangible results. You lead the projects that the Netherlands quite literally builds on.

You’ll work on complex, integrated projects in both dry and wet infrastructure. Think of the design of bridges, viaducts and sunken roadways such as the A9 Badhoevedorp – Holendrecht, future projects like Zuidasdok and the A27 Houten – Hooipolder, as well as complex civil structures within railway projects. You ensure clear communication with the client, strong project organisation, and technically sound solutions from concept to execution.

In your role, you are responsible for quality, progress, planning, finances, and leading your project team. You coordinate with internal design teams and external stakeholders, ensuring all disciplines – from concrete and steel structures to technical installations – collaborate towards an integrated and fully functional outcome. You build consensus and actively contribute ideas for optimising the design, processes and RAMS aspects. You are a key contact for clients such as Rijkswaterstaat, ProRail and major contractors.

You’ll join a driven civil engineering team with deep technical expertise and a relaxed, informal atmosphere. You’ll work alongside structural engineers, designers, consultants, inspectors and other project managers. Thanks to Iv’s broad range of disciplines, you’ll have direct access to specialists in hydraulic engineering, steel structures, technical systems, project & process management and asset management.

What do we expect from you?

• A completed university of applied sciences (HBO) or academic (WO) degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience as a Project Manager in infrastructure projects
• Proven track record in leading integrated design or consultancy projects
• Strong communication skills and an understanding of both client and team interests
• You are results-driven, technically proficient and able to inspire and motivate others
• You have an affinity for concrete structures and a passion for infrastructure
• You speak fluent Dutch
