Legal Counsel

Make a difference with your legal expertise in engineering projects

Are you confident in your legal skills and excited d by clear agreements, sharp analysis, and solving complex legal issues? As a Legal Counsel at Iv, you ensure that our specialists can focus on building bridges, wind farms, and water treatment facilities without legal worries.

You will support project teams and management with a wide range of legal matters, from tendering through to delivery. You assess and negotiate contracts, including UAV-GC and FIDIC, and ensure legal agreements are upheld. You also draft legal documents and contribute to the development of standard contracts and templates. As a proactive sparring partner, you offer clear advice, identify risks, and think along strategically. Contract administration, compliance, and legal oversight are naturally part of your responsibilities. You make it possible for our specialists to focus on what they do best — creating groundbreaking solutions.

You’ll be part of a small, dedicated legal team that values informal collaboration and knowledge sharing. Together, you support the entire organisation. You’ll report to the Senior Legal Counsel. What do we expect from you?

• A completed Master’s degree in Dutch Law (WO level)
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within or with technical project organisations
• Proven experience in construction law and/or procurement and environmental law
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent command of Dutch and English
• You work accurately, independently, and with a solution-focused and pragmatic mindset
