Projectleader Mechanical Engineering Buildings

No challenge too big

In this position, you are responsible for managing design teams in the field of, among other things, installation concepts within a building, feasibility studies or certain energy consultancy studies. This can be in the field of education, offices, leisure, distribution centres, data centres, public transport, corporate housing and complex residential construction. You lead various project teams and motivate them to achieve the highest possible results. You do this by applying your mechanical engineering knowledge and experience. You ensure that projects stay within budget and planning and contribute to making our society more sustainable. You take an active part in the design team and have a lot of contact with clients and other project team partners such as architects and structural engineers to realise the projects to the client's satisfaction. You also play an important role in the quotation phase. In this phase, in consultation with colleagues, project partners and clients, you work out project proposals that allow us to stand out from our competitors in the market.

Within Iv, we have people with a wealth of knowledge of installation technology and architecture: an ideal combination! This enables us to approach projects integrally. We lead the way in 3D design and BIM, with which we flawlessly coordinate building-related installations with the other involved disciplines. This way, contractors can get to work immediately following the design phase! Among other prominent projects, Iv has worked on the large-scale transformation of the Baumannkerk in Rotterdam and Lidl's new, self-sufficient distribution centre in Almere!

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for someone with at least 8 years of relevant work experience and a passion for engineering. You have at least bachelor working and/or thinking level. In your position, you not only lead the most complex projects, but you are also prepared to think further about possible innovations. By listening carefully, you find out the client's underlying question in order to meet expectations. You also have good communication skills, are technically strong and can express yourself well both orally and in writing. You are driven to find the most appropriate solutions for the most challenging projects.
