Managing thousands of requirements without losing sight of the big picture

Does the prospect of structuring 10,000 to 20,000 client requirements for an offshore platform not overwhelm you? In some of the most complex offshore projects in the world, you ensure that project teams operate from a single source of truth.

You’ll contribute to major offshore projects, such as 2GW platforms or floating transformer stations. Together with colleagues, you will help set up and apply the systems engineering process throughout the entire project. You’ll support the collection, structuring and management of requirements, as well as the organisation of review sessions and validation processes. You’ll also contribute to verification and validation activities, using tools such as Relatics to maintain transparency and traceability.

Your work ensures that complex technical processes remain manageable. You help translate client expectations into clear requirements, ensure they are recorded in a structured way, and monitor that changes are properly managed. Through well-structured processes, clear documentation and active collaboration, you prevent miscommunication and help the team make well-informed decisions.

You’ll be part of the Systems Engineering team within the broader Information Engineering department at Iv. You’ll work closely with designers, modellers and engineers on offshore projects. Our team places great value on collaboration: we support one another, share knowledge, and continuously improve our methods. You will report to the Systems Engineering Lead and have plenty of room to learn and grow within the discipline.

What do we expect from you?

  • A higher vocational or university degree in engineering, computer science or information science
  • At least 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a similar roll
  • Basic knowledge of requirements management, SE methodology, and tools such as Relatics
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • You are structured, eager to learn, and enjoy working together on smart solutions

What do we have to offer you?
