Point of contact for the department

We are looking for a Discipline Manager to lead the E&I Design discipline for the Iv-Offshore & Energy division. As a Discipline Manager, you will be responsible for your department's organisation, personnel and discipline-related activities. You are the point of contact for our E&I designers, providing support and guidance to the E&I Design project teams during all phases of engineering, construction and commissioning.

You will also be responsible for the quality assurance of our E&I Design documentation and support its standardisation and development. Through career planning and the necessary training and development, you will ensure that your E&I designers are properly coached and guided in their roles. Your responsibilities also include resource planning, staff evaluations and recruitment of new personnel. During the construction phase of projects, you will support the contract management of our electrical/instrumentation installation subcontractor.

Iv delivers tailor-made solutions in the field of offshore energy activities. We provide advice from the first feasibility studies up to and including the execution of all engineering and procurement activities! The offshore and energy sector holds no surprises for us. We have a proven track record in offshore platforms, FPSOs, onshore facilities and complex steel and mechanical installations for offshore applications. You may already be familiar with our involvement in the DolWin Alpha platform and the Sofia HVDC offshore converter platform. In addition, Iv-Offshore & Energy is making great strides in the offshore hydrogen production market. For example, we are, among others, the engineering partner for the PosHYdon pilot project!

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for an E&I Design heavyweight. You have a secondary/higher vocational (MBO/HBO) degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and at least eight years of experience in E&I Design within an engineering company, preferably in the offshore and/or energy market. In addition, you have supported multiple projects on-site during the E&I construction and commissioning activities. You also have experience in managing E&I Design teams, including 3D modelling. You enjoy motivating people and getting the best out of them. You are a good communicator and a solution-oriented thinker, and you take ownership of your responsibilities within the group. Decisiveness, integrity, ambition, proactivity, commitment, resilience and reliability define you. A good command of English is essential for this position. Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.

What do we have to offer you?

A challenging and varied job at the most diverse engineering company in the Netherlands! You can count on:

  • The most incredible projects in all sectors: You will work on high-quality solutions that genuinely benefit society. From the world's largest offshore wind platforms, bridges and lock complexes to factories, water treatment plants and submarines.

  • Excellent secondary terms and conditions: 31 days annual leave, annual bonus (7%), profit sharing, flexible pension scheme and travel expenses and a work-from-home allowance.
  • Ample development opportunities: We offer a wide range of training, courses and development opportunities to help you become even better in your profession.
