Work on integral water solutions

Iv focuses on the design and construction supervision of various water-related objects, such as drinking water, industrial water and wastewater installations, and water level management. Due to the growth of our activities, we are looking for an enthusiastic mechanical engineer to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of mechanical and installation components within various projects.

You will work with colleagues from disciplines such as civil engineering and electrical engineering on complex technical objects, such as polder and storage basin pumping stations, locks, weirs, wastewater treatment plants and sewage pumping stations. Your tasks will involve drawing up cost estimates and specifications and translating these into a design quote or draft specification. You will also perform static and dynamic hydraulic calculations and contribute to transport systems such as pumps and piping. Knowledge and expertise in treatment works (such as sludge and gas lines) and experience with sludge digestion installations (such as biogas and ATEX) constitute a significant advantage. Finally, you will ensure clear, high-quality reports for which fluency in Dutch is required.

Water plays a crucial role: it is essential for drinking water, industry and agriculture, but it also poses a threat due to flooding and rising sea levels. Iv provides innovative and sustainable solutions for water quality, safety and management. For example, we develop tools, such as our CO₂ tool, to make processes more sustainable. Would you like to work on challenging and sustainable water projects? You'll find the projects that count at Iv!

What do we expect from you?

You have a higher professional or university degree (HBO/WO) in Mechanical Engineering and five to ten years of work experience in similar projects. You have experience with multidisciplinary and complex projects in which you maintained an overview and identified the client's needs. You make compromises tactfully and get the best out of your team. Furthermore, you have technical expertise in hydraulic calculations, transport systems and treatment works. Knowledge of sludge digestion installations and ATEX is a major advantage. You know how to draw up equipment specifications and obtain the necessary information from suppliers. You have excellent reporting skills, continuously keep abreast of the latest developments and actively consider innovative project applications. Fluency in written and spoken Dutch is required.

What do we have to offer you?

A challenging and varied job at the most diverse engineering company in the Netherlands! You can count on:

  • The most incredible projects in all sectors: You will work on high-quality solutions that genuinely benefit society. From the world's largest offshore wind platforms, bridges and lock complexes to factories, water treatment plants and submarines.
