Do you thrive on structuring complex, multidisciplinary projects? Systems engineering allows you to connect each project component seamlessly to the larger whole. Do you see opportunities in the traceable and transparent recording of design activities and monitoring integrality between disciplines? Do you want to use and further investigate tools like Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and information management smartly? Then we are looking for you!

We are looking for a final-year student or intern who wants to contribute to the company-wide development of Systems Engineering within our Offshore & Energy, Infra & Water, and Maritime markets. You will be based at one of our divisions but will work across our divisions to optimally perform your research. Together with our experts, you will support complex projects with a traceable and structured approach and take Systems Engineering to a higher level by further developing tools and methodologies.

Examples of internship/graduation assignments you could work on:

• Develop a business case and apply MBSE in our technical projects.
• Research the availability of different MBSE tools and test them on our type of projects.
• Develop an application that automatically generates a requirements package based on stakeholder input.
• Use (MB)SE to gain insight into sustainability options in technical projects.
• Further develop the methodology to increase traceability in the concept design phase and minimise project risks at a later stage.

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for an enthusiastic higher vocational/university level (HBO/WO) student with an affinity for this subject. You are a creative, critical thinker who enjoys thinking outside the box – after all, that's how the best solutions materialise. The ability to show initiative, be curious about new developments and actively think about applying them is equally important to us.

Your specific field of study isn't a prerequisite, but a background in Construction Management and Engineering, Information Management, Data Science, or Systems Engineering and Policy Analysis would fit well.
