Lead Information Engineer

Make information management a game changer in offshore engineering

Smart data ensures better engineering. As a Lead Information Engineer, you will ensure that information management forms an essential part of our offshore projects.

From innovative 2GW platforms in the North Sea to floating offshore transformer substations – it is your job to provide structure in the information flows of these complex projects and ensure that project teams can easily find and access data. This means analysing customer requirements in information management, setting up tag management, and preparing project data to integrate into our digital systems. You will continuously build on these systems and optimise them to enable project teams to work more efficiently.

In addition, you will work on further professionalising our information management, implementing existing and new digital tools, managing and configuring (in-house) systems, and ensuring that all data is correctly aligned with the project objectives. You will ensure that systems are technically correct and meet the needs of engineers and project managers. A sound system is only truly valuable if everyone can work with it.

As a Lead Information Engineer, you will lead the Information Engineering team within the Information Management department – which now has over 20 specialists. You will support information engineers in their work and coordinate your activities with project managers. You are the point of contact for complex issues in the information management field and will ensure that Iv's information architecture meets the increasingly high demands of our clients.

What do we expect from you?

• A university-level degree (WO) in a technical field such as Structural Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Process Engineering. However, a (WO) degree in Computer and Data Science is also welcome! 
• At least 7 years of experience in information management.
• Experience in managing multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of EPC projects, offshore wind, BIM and Python is advantageous.
• Experience with ontologies, APIs and standard models such as CFIHOS, IEC CIM and ISO 15926 is desirable.
