Do you know exactly how it is?

From bridges and locks to tunnels and quay walls, you know exactly how these structures are put together and what they need to continue to function correctly. As a Senior Inspector at Iv, it is your job to identify problems before they become major issues and advise clients on the best maintenance strategies.

A job at Iv as an inspector means lots of variety. Outdoors, you will inspect complex infrastructure objects such as bridges, tunnels and locks and assess the technical condition on location. At the same time, a desk will be waiting for you in the Sliedrecht or Nieuwegein office to analyse the data collected and translate it into clear advice. You will report to clients such as the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat), provinces, municipalities and industrial companies on the technical condition, risks and maintenance needs so that they can make well-founded decisions. Thanks to your advice, you will help them to keep their infrastructure in top condition for a long time and efficiently.

As a Senior Inspector, you will take the lead, guiding junior inspectors and checking reports for quality and accuracy. It is your job to ensure the team works efficiently and that processes run smoothly. You will also act as the Project Leader's right hand, assisting with quotations, work preparation and attending client meetings.

You will be part of the Inspection, Research & Consultancy team within the Asset Management sector. The team comprises around 20 people, from experienced inspectors to young talents. Collaboration and enjoyment are key to this team, thus ensuring a pleasant working atmosphere and successful projects.

What do we expect from you?

• A bachelor's degree (HBO) in Civil Engineering or the Bachelor of Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences
• 5 years of work experience as an inspector.
• Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Able to quickly read situations and act logically.
• Driving license B (for accessing projects on location).
• Physically fit and not afraid of hard work and hands-on challenges.
