Ensure timely delivery and smooth project execution

Do you know better than anyone how to keep suppliers on their toes and ensure that materials, documents, and services are delivered on time? As an Expeditor at Iv, you will play a crucial role in the success of large-scale offshore projects. Your coordination skills will keep projects on track and ensure that obstacles are quickly and efficiently resolved.

Once a purchase order has been issued, you will become the central point of contact for monitoring the progress of the delivery process. You will track and report on the status of purchase orders, ensure that suppliers meet their commitments, and intervene when progress is at risk. Thanks to your insight and problem-solving skills, potential issues are identified and resolved early, ensuring that the construction schedule remains uninterrupted.

A key part of your role will involve organising and leading kick-off, pre-inspection, and progress meetings with suppliers and internal teams. You will review delivery schedules, inspection plans, and progress reports, ensuring that all critical sub-orders are placed on time. You will also be responsible for receiving and verifying supplier documents, invoices, and bank guarantees.

In addition, you coordinate inspection visits and the release of materials for transport to the yard together with the Inspection department. You ensure that inspection reports and other quality documents are received and approved in a timely manner. By maintaining and updating progress data in the system, you help ensure transparency and oversight throughout the delivery process.

You are part of a project procurement team consisting of 3 to 7 colleagues. In addition, you are part of the broader Procurement department, which comprises approximately 35 to 40 colleagues. As Iv operates as a matrix organisation, you will work closely with other (multidisciplinary) departments and can rely on the in-house expertise within the (EPC) offshore project. The team fosters an open and friendly atmosphere, with a strong focus on getting things done. What do we expect from you?

• A completed HBO degree in a technical field, preferably in process engineering, mechanical engineering, or technical business administration.
• At least 5 years of experience in expediting or supply chain management, preferably in the offshore or energy sector.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of technical documentation and procurement processes.
• Experience in preparing and monitoring progress reports.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
