Internship Structural Engineering – Concrete constructions

 Learn from the brightest engineers in the Netherlands

Are you curious to know what it’s like to work as a structural engineer on tunnels, bridges and viaducts? During your internship at Iv, you'll join multidisciplinary project teams and discover how complex concrete structures are developed – from the initial design phase through to execution.

You’ll support our engineers in designing and calculating concrete structures. This could involve creating design sketches, carrying out structural calculations or developing parametric models. You'll shadow experienced engineers, learn how to work with our specialised tools and gain insight into the broad field of civil engineering. Depending on your year of study and background, you’ll gradually take on more responsibility. This way, you'll not only gain valuable technical knowledge but also discover which role suits you best within a real project team.

What do we expect from you?

• You are studying Civil Engineering at a university of applied sciences with a focus on structural calculations, or pursuing a university degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with a specialisation in concrete structures.
• You have an interest in concrete structures, structural safety and/or parametric design;
• You work accurately, are eager to learn and take initiative;
• You enjoy working in a team on technical challenges.
