Piping Designer

Create safe and smart layouts in E3D

Whether it's a transformer platform at sea, a smart layout for an offshore installation, or a complex brownfield challenge on land – as a piping designer at Iv, you’ll work on technical solutions for demanding offshore projects that directly contribute to the energy transition.

Within our team, you'll design complete piping systems in 3D. You’ll work with the latest tools such as E3D and AutoCAD, ensuring your designs are not only technically sound but also practical to execute. Your designs take into account safety, routing, maintenance accessibility and optimal material selection. Thanks to your experience, you identify potential issues early and proactively offer solutions. You translate complex technical requirements into clear layouts that fit seamlessly within the overall design. You’ll take part in model reviews with clients, present your designs, and incorporate feedback into the model. Your hands-on experience on site or offshore informs your approach, resulting in designs that work just as well in execution as they do on paper.

You’ll be part of the piping design team, consisting of around six colleagues, and report to the Lead Piping Designer. The atmosphere is informal and dynamic. Thanks to the variety of projects, close collaboration with other disciplines, and direct client contact, you’re constantly learning. You’ll work in an environment where innovation is key and where your input truly influences the end result.

What do we expect from you?

• You have completed an MBO level 4 or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• You have at least 4 years of experience as a piping designer
• You’ve completed a course or training in E3D and/or piping design
• You have experience with E3D and AutoCAD
• You have a good command of both Dutch and English
