Build sustainable procurement solutions for the energy transition

Are you an experienced buyer who maintains control over planning, manages complex delivery processes, and excels at building strong supplier relationships? At Iv, you will play a key role in leading offshore projects, ranging from the world’s largest offshore wind transformer platforms to innovative floating wind structures and hydrogen platforms. With your keen eye for scheduling, quality, and cost control, you will directly contribute to accelerating the energy transition.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for procuring materials and services for complex technical projects. You will help optimise procurement processes and foster long-term partnerships with our suppliers. Thanks to your efforts, we are able to deliver sustainable, high-quality, and cost-efficient solutions for offshore energy projects such as transformer stations, offshore platforms, and hydrogen infrastructure.

You are a determined professional who takes ownership in achieving defined goals related to scheduling and cost control. You will contribute to project success by proactively identifying risks within the supply chain and proposing alternatives—without losing sight of overall timelines. In this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from engineering, project management, and finance to deliver integrated solutions. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the quality and progress of projects that shape the future of energy generation.

You will join a Procurement team consisting of experienced buyers and project professionals. The atmosphere is open, professional, and collaborative. You will report to the Procurement Manager and maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders and suppliers around the globe.

What do we expect from you?

• A completed higher professional education (HBO) in, for example, (technical) business administration, supply chain management or a comparable field.
• At least five years of experience in a procurement role, preferably within the offshore, energy or technical industry.
• Proven experience in contract management, delivery scheduling, cost efficiency and quality assurance.
• Affinity with sustainability and the energy transition.
• Strong negotiation skills (covering detailed terms & conditions and other commercial aspects), analytical acumen, and a proactive mindset.
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to focus on your own responsibilities while working effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent command of the English language is required.
• Good command of the Dutch language is an advantage.
