As Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) engineer, you deliver essential analyses and information to optimize the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety (RAMS) of critical equipment and systems. You will work in multinationality, multidisciplinary project teams to accomplish complex projects in the maritime, civil, industrial and/or nuclear industry. As a key member of the engineering team, you will Influence the design of critical equipment and systems, like naval and offshore vessels, nuclear reactors, movable storm surge barriers, navigation locks and industrial installations. You will perform technical assessments of designs to determine the optimal support solution for our customers. You will serve as the focal point for all matters regarding Integrated Logistics Support towards the customer as well as within the project team.
Your activities include reliability engineering, maintainability engineering and maintenance planning. You identify life cycle issues as early as possible to optimize that design for maintainability and create RAMS analyses, life cycle sustainment plans, requirements for spare parts, and Integrated Logistics Support Plans.
As Senior Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of all ILS elements during specification, design, production, deployment, maintenance and retirement. Delivering ILS products and services within time, budget and according to the relevant quality standards, will be one of your key responsibilities and activities. Think of Logistic Support Analysis Record System, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and leading and performing Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis and modelling.
Besides, you will support and proactively coach the junior ILS engineers and assist in drafting and reviewing ILS proposals and in the development of ILS products, processes and methodologies.
Our ideal candidate has experience in the naval and/or ship building industry and has a solid technical knowledge regarding vessels design and equipment. In addition, you will have experience in an ILS engineering or consoling role, preferably in the defense or offshore sector and a relevant bachelor of master degree. At least two years of experience in execution and development of ILS packages within a technical environment is required.
As a senior ILS engineer you have knowledge of defense standards for supportability and related specifications ASD S1000D for technical publications and S2000M for provisioning and spares management. Practical application of FMEA/FMECA and Reliability Predictions and Cases is highly desirable. Further you have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good command of the Dutch and English language. Additional languages like Spanish and German are an advantage.
