BIM Information Engineer

The largest and most technically complex offshore projects demand more than just good design. Intelligent, structured information is crucial to ensuring these projects succeed. As a BIM Information Engineer at Iv, you play a vital role in this.

As a BIM Information Engineer at Iv, you will act as the BIM Coordinator. You’ll be involved in various stages of 3D model development. You analyse client specifications, optimise model structures in tools such as Aveva E3D, Tekla Structures and Navisworks, and draft BIM Execution Plans which you keep up to date. You ensure accurate export configurations (such as IFC), manage model exchange via Autodesk Construction Cloud, and coordinate with modellers and administrators to ensure seamless application integration. You also liaise directly with clients to clarify their needs and translate them into smart solutions.

But your work goes beyond 3D alone. You structure technical data and convert it into usable project information, monitor its quality throughout the project, and extract valuable insights from engineering and procurement data. You’ll also contribute to improving our tools and processes—enhancing links between 3D software and databases, exploring and implementing new software, and developing standards for workflows and documentation. In doing so, you help advance not only the projects but the entire organisation.

You will be part of the Information Management team. Together, we are building more efficient project execution and future-proof information management. What do we expect from you?

• Minimum HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level

•  Minimum three years of experience in BIM, data management and digital engineering.

• Knowledge of Aveva E3D, Trimble Tekla Structures, Autodesk Forma and IFC standards.

• Experience with data engineering, master data management and reference data management is an advantage.

• Affinity with scripting and Python is advantageous.

• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach.

• Good communication skills and a cooperative attitude.
