The management and maintenance of assets must be sustainable and conducted with minimal risk and cost. The challenge is to achieve the optimal balance between performance, risk and cost. How do you make the appropriate trade-offs and responsible decisions? Iv assists its clients by providing tailor-made integral advice. We make the assets measurable and conduct a performance and risk analysis of the assets. Based on this, we develop the optimal management and maintenance strategy and the associated specific management and maintenance plans for the assets. We also advise on the establishment and implementation of asset management.
Iv has all the necessary expertise under one roof to provide tailor-made integral advice from systems engineering, risk analysis and RAMS to applied mathematics and business administration. Supplemented by specific knowledge of the (failure) behaviour of assets, clients can count on a total package that addresses both the hard and soft assets of asset management.
To achieve the optimal balance between performance, risk and cost, we have developed the DREAM methodology. DREAM stands for Data-driven and Risk-driven Enterprise Asset Management. In short, DREAM is a methodology that cleverly combines potential failure behaviour of structures, inspection and/or measurement results and maintenance advice using uncertainty analysis into an optimal multi-year maintenance plan. With this method, the maintenance of assets and the required maintenance budget can be predicted for the coming years, thereby avoiding unwelcome surprises due to malfunctions, unplanned maintenance or even structural failure.
Iv works worldwide on unique projects that are of great importance to society. From offshore wind platforms, unique bridges and the world’s largest lock gates to buildings, factories, water treatment plants, container cranes and more. We deliver workable solutions of the highest quality for issues of all sizes and complexities.
