Sustainability is a versatile concept that is viewed in many ways. Iv’s understanding of sustainability is to add real value to society using smart technical solutions. Solutions that reduce CO2, save energy and contribute to a circular society. Raw materials, components and products must retain their value for as long as possible. Moreover, raw materials must be reused as much as possible. Our design and asset management approach seeks the optimal solution within the following constraints:
In every project, we assess the extent to which we can make a real difference in terms of sustainability. This involves focusing initially on prolonging the use, ideally without significant life-extending adjustments. We do this by measuring, monitoring, inspecting, testing, analysing, and/or calculating structures and installations. Where possible, we make our designs circular. We aim to work with our clients towards a circular society where we can live and work comfortably and healthily. By combining our knowledge and expertise from the various markets in which Iv operates, we help our clients find solutions that deliver the greatest possible impact regarding sustainability.
As an engineering company, Iv is often at the forefront of major projects, which means we can make a real difference in terms of sustainability. We strive to create real value for society with our technical solutions. In close collaboration with clients, Iv aims to play a role in the transition to a circular economy. The CO2 Performance Ladder helps us shape our ambition to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions within our organisation and our projects.
