Coordinate complex projects and contribute to the growth of the department.

Iv focuses on the design and construction supervision of all water-related projects, including drinking water, industrial water, wastewater, and water level management. Due to the growth of our activities in this area, we are looking for an enthusiastic Lead Mechanical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and engineering of the mechanical/installation technical components within a wide variety of projects. You will work as part of a team with civil engineering, electrical engineering, and instrumentation disciplines on complex technical objects, create cost estimates, draft specifications, and translate these into a mechanical design note/tender document. The projects you will be working on mainly involve polder and drainage pumps, locks and weirs, (waste)water treatment plants, sewage pumping stations, and associated (pressure) pipelines. Experience with one or more of these objects is therefore essential. Experience with design in Autodesk applications is a plus.

In terms of water, we face a dual challenge: on one hand, we need water for drinking, industry, agriculture, transportation, and recreational purposes. On the other hand, water poses a threat through flooding and rising sea levels. Since water quality, transport, safety, and management often go hand in hand, solutions must be sought across this entire spectrum. Iv provides comprehensive and innovative advice for issues of any size and complexity in the field of water installations and civil engineering related to water. Sustainability is paramount in this regard. For example, Iv has developed the CO2 tool! This tool calculates the CO2 reduction in water treatment processes. Would you also like to work on sustainable solutions in the field of water quality? Iv has the most challenging projects ready for you!

You have a bachelor or master in Mechanical Engineering, and you have approximately five to ten years of work experience in similar projects. You can organize multidisciplinary and complex projects while keeping an overview of the entire process. Equally important to us are your enthusiasm and soft skills. You know exactly how to uncover real customer needs, can tactfully negotiate compromises, and understand how to get the best out of your team. We also expect that you stay continuously updated on the latest developments and actively think about how we can apply these in our projects.
