As a Senior/Lead Marine Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be in the best place if you love diversity and technically complex challenges that even the smartest specialists cannot just solve. Sometimes you will be working on a large-scale multidisciplinary project and on other occasions, on a smaller but more intensive project. Your role is crucial to the development of technologically advanced mechanical systems and the setup of equipment and piping of naval vessels, floating offshore units and special vessels. You will be working on the design of different mechanical systems like Propulsion Train Design, Planes and Rudder Design and special components like valves and hatches. You will be the sparring partner of the Lead Engineer, will supervise Junior Engineers and will contribute your ideas and views about the growth and development of the discipline.

A completed bachelor’s degree (HBO) in maritime engineering, naval architecture or mechanical engineering
At least five years of relevant experience and specialist knowledge of concept and basic design
Solid technical expertise – the discipline holds no secrets for you
Always looking to explore the limits of what is technically possible, and able to bring innovations on board responsibly
Enjoys working on a variety of projects and doesn’t shy away from a challenge
Understands the project context and maintains oversight, regardless of the type of vessel involved
Has a strong drive to keep improving and innovating
