The design of a new submarine, a radical FPSO conversion or a complex system integration: as a Naval Architect at Nevesbu, you will work on the most technically complex projects. These are projects that not even the smartest engineers can simply just solve. As a Naval Architect you will work out technical specifications and draw up designs. You will be responsible for different type of calculations like Stability, Speed-power/Resistance, Weight management and Hydro-structural analyses. You make 2D drawings and 3D models. You will be involved in the complete conceptual and basic design of various ships and perform Inclining tests, Deadweight surveys, on board- laser scans.
From submarines and frigates to unique floating offshore energy applications: Nevesbu works as a naval architecture and marine engineering company on the most unique and technically challenging maritime projects worldwide. We operate within the markets: submarines, naval vessels, floating offshore energy and special vessels. Nevesbu has expert in-house knowledge of all these disciplines and provides consultancy and engineering services for all project phases, from the first feasibility studies to the complete design and engineering and site supervision. Examples of unique projects and innovations that Nevesbu has worked on are the upkeep of the Dutch Walrus-class submarines for the Ministry of Defence, Malaysian frigates’ lifespan extension, and an innovative concept for a floating transformer platform.
A completed bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering or Naval Architecture
At least 5 years of relevant work experience and specialist knowledge of concept and basic design
You enjoy working on a variety of projects – whether it’s a submarine, a floating offshore unit, or a special vessel
Ability to manage large, complex maritime projects and maintain an overview
Always up to date with the latest developments in the field and how the company can respond to them
A VGB-B security screening may be part of the application procedure
