As a Junior Systems Engineer, you ensure that complex projects remain manageable. You bring structure to requirements, design choices and verification. You monitor consistency and ensure that everything is demonstrably correct.
At Iv, you will work on multidisciplinary projects in Energy and Offshore, Infrastructure and Water, or Maritime. Think of offshore wind platforms, locks, or submarines. In these projects, multiple disciplines work simultaneously on a single integrated design. That requires an overview. And someone who can see the bigger picture.
You will help to draw up and manage requirements. You will translate stakeholder wishes into structured requirements and monitor traceability towards design and verification. You will support verification and validation processes and ensure that design choices are logically substantiated. With Systems Engineering, you will ensure that technology, process and risks remain connected.
You will work with SE methodologies and, where appropriate, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). You will support project teams in applying this working method and contribute ideas on how we can organise processes more intelligently. In doing so, you will work closely with engineers, project managers and information engineers.
You are at the heart of the project. You ask critical questions, identify risks and help to reduce complexity to a manageable whole. You will start under the guidance of experienced systems engineers, but will quickly be given your own responsibilities. Would you like to learn more about MBSE, risk management or integrated project management? You will be given the opportunity to do so. Your development will go hand in hand with the projects you are working on.
Higher professional education or university degree in a technical field
Affinity with complex, multidisciplinary projects
Interest in requirements management, verification and integrity
Strong analytical and structured skills
You dare to ask critical questions
Good command of the Dutch language
