Heavy-lift crane integration – Seafox 4
The 6-legged jack-up platform Seafox 4 required a thorough upgrade to become suitable for carrying out special offshore services in addition to construction, accommodation, maintenance and well services.
The platform can be used all year round in water depths of up to 46 metres. Following a major upgrade, the Seafox 4 is now suitable for specialised offshore services, enabling it to be deployed on various project types and widen its range of applications. Nevesbu was responsible for integrating the heavy-lift crane into the vessel, the analysis of the helideck before it was adapted to accommodate larger helicopters, the stability calculations and the classification approval.
The upgrade brings the Seafox 4 into line with today’s new requirements. In addition, the jack-up platform is now suitable for a broader range of offshore services.
