The old swimming pool in Helmond no longer meets the modern needs of residents. It lacks comfort, sustainability and future-proof facilities. A renewed pool complex with better facilities, energy efficiency and a high level of comfort was needed.
To meet the needs of the residents of Helmond, a new multifunctional swimming pool is being built on the De Braak sports campus. The project team, consisting of various partners, is working together to design and realise a functional and comfortable swimming pool. Iv’s role as an EPC partner is key; responsible for the complete design, procurement, installation and delivery of the electrical installations. Swimming pools require specific knowledge of fixtures, lighting, and the efficient arrangement of equipment, which helps limit the cost of cables and pipes and avoids unexpected costs during operation. In the design of the building’s electrical installations, Iv made smart choices that focused on maintenance and operational reliability. All components, such as ducts, pipes and control cabinets, are positioned to ensure easy access for maintenance.
The sustainable aspects, such as the all-electric installations and energy-efficient lighting, contribute to a smaller ecological footprint and lower operating costs. The smart design choices ensure efficient maintenance and operational reliability. The enhanced facilities, including a competition pool, instructional pool, baby and toddler pool, and multifunctional spaces, increase the diversity and services of the pool complex.
