From complex commercial buildings to the transformation of existing structures, every successful structural design needs strong project leadership. As a Structural Project Manager at Iv, you bring engineering, people and planning together.

You know what it takes to turn a structural design into a successful project. With your background as a structural engineer, you understand the technical challenges while keeping the bigger picture in mind. You lead structural engineers and modellers, manage schedules, budgets and quality, and ensure smooth collaboration between disciplines. The result? Structural designs that are technically sound and practical to build.

Beyond the project team, you are a trusted point of contact for clients. You maintain relationships, help solve technical challenges and build long-term partnerships. Your projects span commercial and public buildings, existing structures, the energy transition and water authorities. You also identify opportunities to develop our growing department and explore new markets. This is where your technical expertise and commercial awareness come together.

Based in Delft, you work alongside thirteen structural engineers and modellers as part of a wider team of around 80 colleagues. The atmosphere is informal, communication is direct and colleagues are always happy to help. We enjoy complex engineering challenges, but we don’t believe in making things unnecessarily complicated. Good ideas are welcomed and quickly put into practice. Your ideas on project delivery and departmental development are valued too. You have the freedom and trust to shape your role in a way that suits your strengths. Delft is your main office, with opportunities to work partly from Papendrecht or Almere.

What do we expect from you?

• A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specialising in Structural Engineering, or Architecture and Building Engineering, specialising in Structural Engineering and Design.

• Approximately 10 to 15 years of relevant professional experience, including hands-on experience as a structural engineer.

• Experience managing structural engineering projects, including schedules, budgets and quality control.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect colleagues and clients.

• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing client relationships and exploring new markets.

• Good command of the Dutch and English language.
