Sufficient clean drinking water has come under pressure in recent years due to climate change, population growth and increased use. In times of drought, the challenge is to store enough drinking water, and when we are faced with prolonged wet periods, storing as much rainwater as possible is complex. Iv plays a vital role in advising and developing designs to improve and optimise the abstraction, production and distribution of drinking water. Iv works closely with drinking water companies, water boards and contractors on these issues.

Drinking water can be prepared using many different methods and technologies. Iv works with clients to provide integral advice on the abstraction, storage, transport and treatment of drinking water. Quality, reliability and availability of drinking water are the most critical factors. Among others, Iv works on optimising abstraction areas and production sites.
