Multifunctional residential tower ‘de Hooghe Delft’

De Hooghe Delft

The project

A new construction project will be realised in the extensive development area around the railway in Delft: De Hooghe Delft. Iv’s involvement in this project includes calculating and designing all installations at the preliminary and final design stages and the General Provisions Act (WABO) application. This multi-functional complex includes a small parking garage, a cinema, offices and apartments, with the cinema on the ground and first floors, the offices on the second floor and the apartments on the third to tenth floors.

The challenge

The challenge for Iv was to design mechanical and electrical installations that support the building’s diverse functions but are also sustainable. This meant integrating heating, ventilation, cooling, rainwater drainage, potable water, sewerage, lighting, communications, and fire protection systems while considering sustainable measures.

The impact

De Hooghe Delft represents a significant step towards sustainable urban development. Iv has contributed to the realisation of a building that is not only multifunctional but also sustainable. The inclusion of a Heat and Cold Storage (ATES) installation with open sources, balanced ventilation with energy recovery, LED lighting and PV panels on the roof of the apartments underline the commitment to environmentally friendly solutions. This project serves as a model for future developments in urban areas.
