New apartment complex ‘De Parkwachter’

The project

In the Utrecht district of Leidsche Rijn, a new apartment complex called ‘De Parkwachter’ is being built. This sustainable and luxurious building comprises 43 apartments spread over six floors, including an underground car park. Iv played a key role in this project, from preliminary design to implementation, by providing technical advice on the structure of the building.

The challenge

One of the biggest challenges for De Parkwachter was achieving a stable structure in the confined space of a complex construction pit close to various pipelines. Iv was tasked with developing a structural solution that required as few support points as possible while ensuring the stability and safety of the building.

The impact

De Parkwachter stands out not only for its structural design but also for its contribution to sustainability. With an energy performance coefficient of -0.2, the building is unique: it generates energy. This makes De Parkwachter a flagship project in sustainable urban development, where both living comfort and environmental effects have been taken into account.
