A state-of-the-art ethoxylation plant has been built at North Sea Port. This facility produces surfactants, which are used as raw materials for cosmetics and detergents. Iv carried out the EPCM (Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management) contract for the entirely new site.
The complexity of the project lay in the design and construction of a state-of-the-art chemical plant with various components including a service building, tank farm, pipe bridge, utilities and HGV loading and unloading stations. Iv provided a full range of engineering services, including structural, civil, piping & mechanical, infra and electrical engineering. This included the design and planning of all the required components of the chemical plant and the coordination of procurement and construction.
The advanced ethoxylation plant contributes to the cosmetics and detergents production chain and strengthens North Sea Port’s position as a key port region. Iv’s integrated approach to engineering, procurement and construction contributed to an efficient and streamlined realisation of the new site.
