As part of the planned dike reinforcement along the Maas between Ravenstein and Lith, the municipality of Oss aimed to give the area a recreational boost. The municipality wishes to use the dike reinforcement as an opportunity to better facilitate (slow) recreational traffic, in particular.
Iv developed a traffic plan for the area along the Maas between Ravenstein and Lith. Our role included formulating objectives, analysing the existing situation and advising on adaptions to the infrastructure to facilitate recreational traffic.
Striking a balance between improving recreational opportunities along the Maas and ensuring road safety and accessibility formed a challenge. Developing a plan that integrates these aspects was crucial.
Iv developed a traffic plan that would provide maximum comfort and safety on the recreational routes along the Maas while maintaining accessibility for local traffic. The result was a consultancy report outlining recommendations for adaptations to the infrastructure and the implementation of additional facilities, such as tourist transfer points.
Wouter, managing director Infra and also COO of Iv, would be delighted to discuss this with you! Get in touch via +31 88 943 3200 or send a message.
