Senior structural engineer

From iconic landmarks such as the London Eye and giant ferris wheels to the Jacket Lift System on the world’s largest pipe-laying vessel – as a Senior Structural Engineer at Iv, you will design, analyse and model some of the most unique structures worldwide.

You’ll also verify designs against Eurocodes, DNV standards or American codes. With your expertise in software like Ansys, SCIA, SACS or FEMAP, you will effortlessly resolve any technical bottlenecks.

Even more rewarding: you’ll help guide the next generation of engineers. As a senior member of the team, you serve as one of the technical anchor points, making a tangible impact with your expertise. You support colleagues in their development and ensure that the team’s collective knowledge and skills are utilised to their fullest potential.

You’ll be part of Iv’s Structural team – a group of 20 to 30 engineers and designers working on both offshore and onshore projects for leading clients. The atmosphere is open, international and collaborative. You’ll coordinate closely with the project manager on your current assignments and report to the Structural Manager.

• A completed Master’s degree in Civil, Structural or Offshore Engineering, or a relevant technical Bachelor’s degree

• At least 10 to 15 years of relevant work experience, depending on your level

• Proven experience with steel structures, preferably in an offshore environment

• Familiarity with DNV, Eurocodes and American standards

• Proficient in FEM software such as Ansys, FEMAP, SACS and/or SCIA

• Strong communication skills, independence and a proactive, coaching mindset

• Flexibility to work on both short- and long-term projects

• Strong command of the English language (knowledge of Dutch or other languages is a plus)
