Designing within a multidisciplinairy project team

Then a position as Lead Instrumentation Designer at Iv is the perfect match. One day you will be contributing to a large-scale multidisciplinary offshore, wind or onshore energy project; the next, you will be juggling several smaller but equally demanding assignments.

As Lead Instrumentation Designer, you are responsible for producing the drawings and documentation that enable the E/I contractor to realise your instrumentation design. Your scope ranges from complete fire and gas detection and safety systems to process control and essential telecommunications systems. You will have plenty of freedom to collaborate closely with specialists from all disciplines to deliver a fully integrated design. Within the project team, you are the technical lynchpin: safeguarding quality, mentoring junior designers, and liaising with other design teams. Your helicopter view allows you to keep a clear head even when the pressure is on.

What do we expect from you?

• An MBO-level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience in the field of instrumentation design.

• Familiarity with Smart Plant Instrumentation and AutoCAD is an advantage.

• Experience with substation projects is a strong plus.

• Knowledge of design codes and classification society standards.

• Fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• You work in a structured way, remain calm under pressure, and confidently take responsibility as a team leader.
